CMRS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
&
FALL MINI MEETThe 2008 / 09 CMRS AGM will be held on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 at the Glenmore Inn, 2720 Glenmore Trail S.E. The scheduled time for the AGM is 11:00 AM until around noon. Please note that there will be no lunch provided by the CMRS this year; however there are Great facilities available in the Glenmore Inn for lunch.
The schedule for the Mini Meet Clinics is as follows:
9:30 AM: Exploring the Railways of Southern B.C.
Rob Badmington will be hosting this slide show presentation with discussions on some of the various railways of southern British Columbia.
After this presentation, Rob will be promoting the 2009 PNR Regional Convention “Northern Lights 2009”.
1:15 PM: BUILDING WITH STYRENE- The Journey Continues
Dale Sproule will be hosting this clinic. This is the ongoing adventures of using Styrene for Modeling. In a past clinic, Dale held a clinic on the building process of modeling a CPR Station using styrene. He will continue the adventures with an Info overload hour of fun. Bring your questions and concerns
2:15 PM: COLORADO Narrow Gauge Railways Today.
Ian McArthur will be hosting this slide show and discussion on the current happenings at the Durango & Silverton, the Cumbres & Toltec, the Georgetown Loop and the Colorado Railway Museum. As Ian mentioned in the Orderboard, Ian and his wife toured these this past September. Whether you model narrow gauge or not, you find this presentation interesting and entertaining.
Immediately after this presentation, Ian will be holding a meeting for the Narrow Minded- Narrow gauge special interested Group. Anyone with an interest in narrow gauge railroading is welcome to attend.
